Holidays

Hope everyone had an awesome Holiday! It always seems to go by so fast... I didn't get much time with my kids this year but the time we had was great. It's a little tough for me around the holidays because I don't have any family close by so I don't get to spend time with them. Makes me miss them all even more. It's nice to know they all still have the family holiday parties I remember from childhood though.  I get so aggravated when people take their family for granted. Not making the effort to spend time together and seems they only think about it when it's not possible or it's too late.  No matter how much your family frustrates you, they are yours! Appreciate having them in your life because when all is said and done, you will regret not doing or saying the things you should have but no longer have the choice! Ok, enough lecturing! I have to go to work now. I'll lecture more later....lol.... and try to post some pictures! Have a great day! =)

Dorks R Us

hahahahahaahhaa!!!!!! I was trying to follow someone else and some how ended up following myself.
I never was much of a follower so I guess following myself will work out. I will probably end up either walking in circles or into the brick wall that has become my closest friend! Either way, I'm sure it will be interesting! LOL

Has anyone else ever had such an experience?? I would love to hear about it.

Santa's Village Lancaster NH

So I just got back from a weekend vacation with my kids. I surprised them with a trip to Santa's Village. We stayed at a place called Lancaster Motor Inn which was only about 5 min to Santa's Village. It was pretty cool. It's a nice, home-like place, it's not a fancy place which is fine with me. It is very clean, the people are friendly, and it is very affordable. They have package deals that include your stay and a day at either Santa's Village or Six Gun City, or both. Very convenient. We are definitely going back there. Santa's Village was also very cool. Despite the rain, we had an awesome time. My kids were very surprised. They got to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the all the reindeer. They have rides, games, activities, good food, and lots to see. We are thinking of going back in the summer time, too. There are quite a few attractions in the area that we want to go to. Six Gun City, and a huge water park (I can't remember the name!).   If you want to know more feel free to ask! Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Who Are We?

This is my first blog post... EVER!  So I just wanted to let everyone know who we are. My name is Janice and I live in Ct. I have two awesome kids, Michael and EmmaLee.
Together we created JEM Artistry - (J = Janice, E=EmmaLee, M=Michael). We all enjoy painting so we decided to try to make a family business out of our hobby. We do have some stuff up for sale at http://www.artfire.com/users/JEMArtistry and you can also find us on facebook.  We have mainly done abstract paintings with acrylics, so far. We have each done one with oil paints, but it takes soooo long to dry. Unfortunatley, like myself, my kids are not always very patient! lol
I guess that about covers my brief introduction. I will be making more posts in the near future. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks so much for reading....I am off to work..... Have a great day everyone!
